Endemol has a permanent presence in 26 countries. Currently, the main markets are:
United States
Since its arrival in 2000, Endemol has grown into one of the United States' leading makers of non-scripted programmes. It is also fast becoming a major supplier of scripted material as well.
The Group owns Endemol USA which is based in Los Angeles and focuses primarily on the network business and True Entertainment, based in New York City which focuses on cable. It also has a controlling stake in two independent production companies, Original Media and 51 Minds Entertainment.
United Kingdom
Endemol UK is one of the largest independent programme makers in Britain. Its range of integrated companies produce a broad range of genres including comedy, game shows, entertainment, factual and scripted series.
Italy
Endemol Italia was launched in 1997. Since 2000, three other subsidiaries have joined the Group – Palomar which produces high quality drama, digital media company Yam and Mediavivere, a joint-venture with RT1.
France
Having entered the French market in 1998, successful acquisitions and joint ventures with companies including PAF Productions and PAF Presse, Orevi and Hubert Productions have made Endemol France among the most important production companies in France.
Germany
Endemol Germany was founded in 1994. It is currently adding scripted and digital media activities to its established reputation in non-scripted programming. In 1998, Endemol also bought a controlling share in Meta Productions.
Spain
After buying Gestmusic and Zeppelin, Endemol acquired the digital media company Portalmix in 2006. Endemol España provides programmes for all Spain's national broadcasters and most regional channels and is adding to its reputation in non-scripted output with scripted and digital media.
The Netherlands
With headquarters in Hilversum, the Endemol Group has three Dutch production companies. Endemol Netherlands produces a broad range of scripted and non-scripted material primarily for commercial channels while 625-SNP does likewise for the public broadcasters. NLTV specialises in scripted programmes for both public and commercial broadcasting.
