ENDEMOL SECURES DISTRIBUTION DEAL FROM OASIS INTERNATIONAL FOR INNOVATIVE DRAMA

Endemol International has acquired a groundbreaking new drama ahead of Mipcom 2007.

11 cameras is a modern day story told entirely from the unique viewpoint of webcams and computer desktops.

Endemol has picked up the scripted format rights from Oasis International in a deal that covers 24 territories across Europe, Eastern Europe, Latin America, South East Asia, India, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

The original series, also distributed by Oasis, was first produced by Shaftsbury Films for CBC in Canada where it became a major hit.

Caroline Torrance, Director of Scripted Programming and Distribution at Endemol International comments: "As well as drawing on our own rich slate of scripted formats we now want to further expand our portfolio with the best drama available on the international market. This deal represents a significant step towards doing that and adds a compelling and cutting edge series to our line up for Mipcom."

"We're thrilled to be in business with Endemol," said Prentiss Holman, Director of Sales for Oasis International, who brokered the deal. "They are one of the leading format producers, with an incredible track record of creating and producing television formats that are hugely popular with audiences around the world."

11 Cameras is inspired by today's world in which long-distance friends and lovers have traded in their pen and ink for the ones and zeroes of e-mail and the electronic hum of ten thousand webcams. Computers are the new breeding ground for today's relationships.

This is a story of love, sex, loneliness, fear, money woes, longing, adultery and jealousy in the digital age.
