ENDEMOL SECURES WORLDWIDE GAME SHOW DEALS AHEAD OF NATPE

Endemol International has confirmed a string of deals around the world for its game show formats in the lead up to Natpe 2008.

Endemol UK's new format The Kids Are All Right, which is due to premier on BBC ONE in March, has been picked up by SABC in South Africa and Nova TV in Croatia with further international deals pending. The format will be available at Natpe for the first time this year.

Another new Endemol format Ultimate Mind Quiz, the innovative family game show that challenges mental dexterity with visual questions, has been snapped up by TVE in Spain for a prime time slot. The format made its debut on France's TF1 in October 2007 and became an instant hit, delivering audiences of 6.2 million viewers and a 43% share.

Established international hit Set for Life has also been acquired by a succession of new territories.

VTV3 in Vietnam has taken a first series of the show for transmission later this year and the format has just debuted in a prime time slot on Kanal 1 in Turkey. In the Middle East the format has been snapped up by MBC and is due to take its place in the peak time schedule soon.

The show also launched on Greece's Mega this Christmas and has taken the country by storm, becoming the number one programme for two weeks running with audiences of up to 1.3 million and a 33.5% share in prime time.

The Set for Life format has now been sold to a total of 11 territories worldwide including Argentina, Canada, Greece, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, United Kingdom and the USA.

Ana Langenberg Senior licensing Manager at Endemol International comments: "These are a breed of new generation shows that are stacked with drama, playing prime-time and scoring high in terms of both ratings and value. They are all generating a huge amount of international demand, which we're expecting to see plenty more of at next week's market."
