ENDEMOL LANDS SLATE OF FORMAT DEALS IN EASTERN EUROPE

Endemol International today announced a raft of new format deals spanning Eastern Europe in the lead up to Discop 2008.

In Bulgaria Nova Television Plus has commissioned a fourth series of Big Brother with launch scheduled for the autumn.

In Croatia RTL has bought up Endemol's hit entertainment format Love Letters with a first series scheduled for a prime time slot later this year.

Kanal D in Romania has taken two of Talpa Media's hit game shows - Divided and I Love My Country. Both are headed for a peak time transmission in 2008. Meanwhile Romania's TVR has commissioned a first series of Endemol's talent show format Performing As.

In Hungary TV2 has snapped up Divided and is set to launch it as a daily series this August.

TV Skopje in Macedonia has bagged game show juggernaut Deal or No Deal as a weekly series while New Channel in the Ukraine has booked a second series of talent show blockbuster Operacion Triunfo.

Formats available for the first time at this year's market include Mother of the Year, the all new reality show from Endemol Argentina that celebrates the role played by mothers across the nation and gives contestants the chance to win a big cash prize. The format has already had prime time success in Latin America where Canal 13 in Argentina is currently airing its second series and Televen in Venezuela has launched series one.

Endemol's latest blockbuster format Wipeout will also be available at Discop for the first time having recently been snapped up in Australia, Germany, Belgium, Greece, Sweden, Norway and Denmark with further territories expected to be revealed shortly. The show is due to make its international debut on ABC in the USA this month.

Other highlights for Discop include Circus of the Celebrities, which launches on NBC this June having been a hit in Europe and Latin America.
