Andy is one of the TV industry's leading legal executives with fifteen years experience. Over the last eight years he has held numerous senior positions at ITV plc, most recently as Group Director of Legal and Regulatory Compliance, managing a team of over sixty across the group's various legal and compliance divisions.
During this time he has had close involvement in strategy and policy formation; mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures and strategic alliances; regulatory liaison; management of litigation; and responsibility for commercial, corporate and compliance matters throughout ITV plc.
The wide ranging issues he has advised on include the new terms of trade negotiated between ITV and the independent production sector; the acquisition and exploitation of major sports rights; the launches of ITV3, ITV4, CITV and ITV Play; the merger between Carlton and Granada; and the structuring and restructuring of numerous other elements of ITV plc.
As Global Head of Legal at Endemol he will oversee the group's legal affairs, advising on all aspects of the business including licensing and sales of IP across all platforms; third party IP acquisition; mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial partnerships and a broad scope of other corporate matters.
Andy takes up the post in early 2009 and will be based in London, reporting to Ynon Kreiz, Chief Executive Officer of Endemol.
