ENDEMOL GROWS MIDDLE EAST PRESENCE WITH NEW DEALS

Endemol's recently opened operation in the Middle East today revealed a significant line up of new deals in the region.

All-new Talpa game show format Divided, which will be making its international market debut at Mip TV 2008, has been snapped up by Abu Dhabi TV. A first series of 26 episodes is now set to launch in a prime time slot this May.

Talpa's entertainment format, M/F has been picked up by MBC for a run of 12 episodes, making its prime time debut in October this year.

Also from Talpa is ‘no-talent' show Top of the Flops, which has been bagged by Abu Dhabi TV for 12 prime time episodes launching in October this year.

Dubai TV has commissioned Endemol UK's latest entertainment format The Kids Are All Right for a run of 13 prime time episodes that will go to air in the first week of May.

And all-new live reality series The Manager will premiere on Rotana Music Channel this November with 9 weekly prime time episodes running alongside daily access shows.

These latest deals follow the commission of Ton of Cash by Abu Dhabi TV last year. The show has now been scheduled to launch this October for a run of 13 prime time episodes with access prime time episodes broadcasting every week day.

Ziad Kebbi, Managing Director of Endemol Middle East comments: "We've enjoyed a sustained period of growth since we launched our operation here last November and all the signs are that this is set to continue. There is a real appetite for these kinds of formats in the Middle East and having Endemol's global library of content behind us puts us in an extremely strong position."
