DEEPAK DHAR APPOINTED MANAGING DIRECTOR ENDEMOL INDIA

Endemol today announced that Deepak Dhar (33), currently creative Director of Endemol India, will become the head of Endemol India as Managing Director, effective from January 2008.

The current Managing Director Rajesh Kamat is stepping down and will leave Endemol.

Rajesh and Deepak both joined Endemol in 2005 and together they built the new company from the beginning of 2005.

Deepak previously worked for the leading Television company in India, Star TV, as Group Head of programming from 2001 to 2005. Deepak was responsible at Star TV for large TV productions such as Pop Stars and Laughter Challenge. Before joining Star TV, Deepak was senior producer for MTV for three years. For Endemol he has produced, among others, Big Brother, Operación Triunfo and Mission Ustaad.
