Peter Adrichem succeeds Paul Römer, who left his position as Managing Director of Endemol Netherlands in October 2008 and took up the role of Global Head of Programming, Endemol Group in January this year. Peter was formerly Managing Director of SNP Holding, which is 100% owned by Endemol, where he was in charge of the company's various divisions including Rene Stokvis Producties, 625 TV Produkties, TVBV en S&V Fiction.
Ynon Kreiz, Chairman and Chief Executive of Endemol Group comments: "The Netherlands is one of the world's most progressive TV markets and Endemol Netherlands is the country's number one producer. It is therefore vital to have someone of Peter's calibre to drive the company forward into a new phase of growth and success. His talent, experience and track record make him the best executive to lead Endemol Netherlands and we are extremely pleased to have him in this role."
Peter Adrichem comments: "Being offered to lead the biggest industry player in the Netherlands is an honour and great challenge. Endemol Netherlands has developed from a traditional television producer into a leading multiplatform entertainment company. I'm greatly looking forward to playing a role in the company's continued growth and while I'm very sad to say farewell to my colleagues at SNP, the time feels right for the next step."
Peter Adrichem is a leading executive with two decades experience in the industry. After the development of a new production business for RTL (currently RTL Productions), Peter launched 625 TV Produkties in 1992, in partnership with Jeroen van Baaren. He went on to build a second production company, TVBV, alongside another fellow producer Jeroen Pauw. In 2006 both companies merged with Rene Stokvis Productions and became part of SNP Holding. Peter became Managing Director of SNP in 2007. He has produced renowned programmes such as Countdown on Dutch broadcaster Veronica and was one of the creators of Bart de Graaf's BOOS.
At Endemol Netherlands Peter will chair the Board of Management, which comprises Director of Management Services Paul de Man, Commercial Director Dick van der Graaf and Financial Director Pam van Olphen. In his new role Peter will oversee the Scripted, Non-Scripted and Sport business units in the Netherlands, as well as all the company's creative and development activities."
