ENDEMOL APPOINTS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR IN CHILE

Eduardo Tironi Fontaine, a leading executive with 15 years experience in the television sector, to run Endemol Chile.

Endemol, a world leader in entertainment programming, today announced the appointment of Eduardo Tironi Fontaine as Managing Director of Endemol Chile.

Eduardo is a leading executive in Chile with 15 years experience in the television sector. His career has included four years as Manager of Programme Development at Canal 13 during which time he was responsible for the programme scheduling which achieved a 30% growth in audience and 28% growth in global sales.

Most recently Eduardo was Manager of Foreign Programming at TVN, where he crafted the channel's schedule of hit TV formats, telenovelas, feature films and animation including The Successful Mr. and Mrs Pells, Victoria, Todos a Coro and a raft of major US programming.

Endemol Chile was established in 2004 and has since grown to become one of the leading producers in the country. Recent productions include drama series The Successful Mr and Mrs Pells and entertainment blockbuster Wipeout, both of which are slot winning hits for TVN, as well as hit factual series Jails and Police in Action for Canal 11.
