ENDEMOL APPOINTS PHILIPPE MAIGRET AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, ACQUISITIONS, NORTH AMERICA

Endemol, a world leader in entertainment programming, today announced the appointment of Philippe Maigret as Executive Vice President, Acquisitions, North America.

Philippe will be responsible for expanding Endemol's portfolio in North America, with a focus on scripted programming.  In his capacity he will identify and secure distribution rights to programmes, formats and libraries across genres including drama, comedy, reality, sport and entertainment. 

This will include developing distribution, financing and co-production partnerships with US producers in collaboration with Endemol USA, Endemol Worldwide Distribution and Endemol Group's global format operation. 

Philippe Maigret is a leading international media executive with 19 years experience in television and digital media.

He was formerly Senior Vice President, Business Strategy and Development at Disney ABC ESPN Television International where he was responsible for expanding the business globally across program, channel and new media distribution.  He also led company's move into the international production of reality and scripted TV formats.

His other previous positions have included Senior Vice President, Sales and Portfolio Development, EMEA at Buena Vista International Television, running a team of approximately 60 people; Chief Operating Officer at Centropolis / Electric Entertainment; Senior Distribution Executive, International Television Group at DreamWorks SKG and Senior Vice President, Business Operations at StudioCanal (US).

His Hollywood movie credits include serving as Executive Producer on 'The Young Americans' and Co-Executive Producer on 'Boiling Point', as well as production responsibilities on 'Murder in the First' and box-office hit 'Stargate'.

Philippe takes up the new role at Endemol Group in March.  He will be based at Endemol's offices in Los Angeles and will report to Tom Toumazis, Chief Commercial Officer of Endemol Group.
