Cell is the story of a man, Michael Spencer, who finds himself locked-up in a lawless prison, with no notion of how he got there, who is holding him or why. What's more, he has no hope of escape. All he has is a mobile phone and the voice of a mysterious caller. But Cell is also the story of the same man, living a life of wealth and power in the Columbian capital of Bogotá. It's the story of the woman he loves, the friend who betrays him and a choice he makes that will change his life forever.

These two unique strands are woven tightly together, each comprising ten episodes that ultimately reveal how each of them has a profound impact on the other - and more.

Whether the first strand - life inside the prison - predates the second, or the outside story is a flashback to a time before Michael Spencer's imprisonment, is up to the viewer to decide.
