The multiple award winning format Get Close To... Sugababes is one of the first interactive digital branded entertainment formats. It is unique for its topicality (what is shot today will be published within 48 hours), its interactivity (viewers can influence the actions of the artists and ask video questions) and for its highly personal content (which is partially shot by the artists themselves).
The show was commissioned by O2 UK with Nokia N-Series seamlessly integrated within the series. It was a great success; both in terms of mobile views and free publicity. The series consistently performed as a top 3 download on the O2 Active portal during its six week run. After the success in the UK, a local Spanish version of the show called Yo!Melendi, featuring Spanish rock star Melendi, was released together with Movistar and Nokia.
