On his deathbed, Andreas Heydecoper summons his children and grandchildren to Cura�ao. The grandson of one of the few survivors of the HMS Coornhart which was shipwrecked in 1815, Andreas is a wealthy, but unpopular man, who turned the family business into an international trading company, but drove away his children in the process. Now in his last days, he has the power to determine their fate forever.

The Heydecoper children Elise, Stijn and Rolf, are reunited for the first time in years, brought together in the hope of claiming their rightful share of their father's heritage. But it's certainly not happy families! Rebel son Rolf, disinterested in the family money, wishes to finally forge a relationship with his brother and sister. But Stijn, who remained faithful to his father and businesswoman Elise argue over who should lead the family empire.
