Kirill takes the concept of broadcasting high-quality, filmic drama on the internet to a new level, taking a linear series of 10 three-minute episodes and layering it with a host of blogs, images, additional video and audio files peppered around the internet, and secret websites to tell an intricate story of a man, lost in the future, trying to make contact with a young woman in the present to help her save the world.

The story: On September 10th 2008, Vivienne Villars, a journalist for MSN, began blogging about the switch on of the LHC.

As Vivienne's investigations, via her blog on Spaces, into leading scientists around the world develop, she realises a strange pattern of ominous coincidences - all of her contacts have disappeared without trace. She decides to piece together a case, with the help of Stu, an online friend, and fellow Spaces blogger.

In a nightmarish future, Kirill finds his first match with a possible messenger in the present day. Her name is Vivienne. We, the public, see a first glimpse of this on October 31st, 2008

Unearthing evidence via CCTV footage, corporate websites and a multitude of articles, photographs and videos and audio, Vivienne's case against a company called Nomi emerges. But this links her inextricably to Kirill, and as their journeys play out across the episodes, blogs and other tools, we come to realise the inevitability of fate.

Her life is in his hands, and her death is only the beginning.

Through the release of a prequel series, KIRILL has already garnered a following among the hard-core bloggers and sci-fi fans on and beyond the reach of MSN.
