Give 16 wannabes the opportunity to show the world they have what it takes to become a famous singer and watch as they battle it out to prove which one of them deserves to win the ultimate prize - a glittering career as a pop star.

On Day One, 16 young men and women aged between 19 and 26 take residence in a specially built state-of-the-art home. Music producers, stylists and national celebrities guide and educate them in all the skills necessary to become stars. This is where all the songs that will later find their way to record-breaking album sales are produced. The wannabes are followed by cameras while they study, work, sing, dance and compete to prove they are the one!

At the end of each week the contestants have to prove their progress and perform in a major live gala event. A jury, consisting of professionals from the music world, nominate four of the wannabe stars that have not done as well as the others. The teachers save one of the nominees, and the other 'safe' contestants save another.

The remaining two must battle it out until the live big event a week later, where they perform for the viewers - who now get to decide who stays and who goes. The big night ends with a touching goodbye song for the wannabe who will-not-be and who must leave the house - and their dreams - behind.

The final reaches its climax in the most dramatic way possible. The 16 contestants have been whittled down to just two. But which one will walk away with the million dollar record contract and guaranteed superstar status?
