Endemol has a growing library of roughly 1500 formats across all entertainment genres. The company’s creative teams from around the world continuously develop new ideas that are shared across the Endemol network – in 2014 there were 153 Endemol created non-scripted formats produced for broadcasters internationally – of which 63 were new Endemol formats produced for the first time. Endemol produces local versions of these shows for broadcasters and digital media partners all over the world.
Endemol has expanded its scripted programming business by over 75% in the last five years. The company’s drama and comedy slate now includes US and UK hits such as Hell on Wheels (AMC), The Fall (BBC Two), Peaky Blinders (BBC Two), Benidorm (ITV1), Ripper Street (BBC ONE), Black Mirror (Channel 4) and Bad Education (E4). Endemol is also one of the largest producers of scripted programming in markets such as Australia and Russia as well as having a growing slate of drama and comedy hits in other countries including India, Germany, France, Holland, Italy, Spain and Argentina.
The division uses its expertise, resources and global network to offer internal and third party producers, content owners and creative talent the best, broadest and most innovative distribution service. Endemol Worldwide Distribution prides itself on its attention to focused marketing and effective and timely producer reporting. Endemol Worldwide Distribution has a library of over 33,000 hours of content. This includes Endemol-created and third-party drama, reality TV, factual, game shows, entertainment, children’s programming, animation and comedy. Our clients currently comprise around 400 broadcasters, licensees and producers. The division is managed by CEO Cathy Payne.
